Shares of Lincoln Pharmaceuticals surged to fresh highs

Lincoln Pharmaceuticals, a small cap drugs major, surged to fresh highs after the company launched a cough syrup which cuts dosages and remained effective over extended periods. Lincoln's cough syrup, developed at its own R&D labs, requires just 2 dosages over 24 hours compared with 3-4 for existing rivals.
Lincoln's stock surged 4.2 rupees, or 3.7 percent, to 119.20 rupees on the Bombay Stock Exchange, where 2.1 lakh shares by 11 AM.
Lincoln's market capitalisation has surged 200 percent to 190 crore rupees over one year. Its revenues have shown a compounded annual growth rate of 13 percent over 5 years and the company has a book value of 79 rupees.
