Several injured in a shooting at a Louisiana airport

REUTERS/Brian Snyder(Reuters) - Shots were fired inside the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Friday night, according to a CBS affiliate.

Airport spokeswoman Michele Wilcut confirmed an incident occurred inside airport, according to WWL in New Orleans.

WVUE news in New Orleans says there are 3 confirmed victims, citing a spokesman with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's office. The extent of their injuries is unclear.
