Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has included the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the list of terrorist organisations.

Although no instance of any ISIS-linked activities has been found in the Indian market, SEBI took this step to guard against any such transaction in the future.

The stock exchanges have informed their trading members about this. Bombay Stock Exchange has asked all its members to take note of the new list and ensure compliance.
