Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announces that more than 2.7 million residents have entered the Vax-a-Million lottery for $1 million prize

In May, Ohio became one of the first states to offer a vaccine incentive in the form of a lottery ticket.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced Monday that more than 2.7 million residents have entered that lottery.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced on Monday that 2,758,470 Ohioans have entered the state's Vax-a-Million lottery for a $1 million prize.

In May, Ohio became one of the first states to offer a vaccine incentive in the form of a lottery ticket, creating a new lottery draw for vaccinated residents. The winner of the $1 million prize will be announced on Wednesday.

DeWine also announced that 104,386 Ohioans under the age of 18 have entered the Vax-a-Million lottery, with the chances of winning a full-ride scholarship to any public university in Ohio.
