- Parsley: Scientists have identified parsley as a preventative for kidney stones in animal studies. For example, in a small 2017 study on rats, scientists found that parsley was associated with decreased amounts of calcium and protein in urine, as well as a regulated urinary PH, which is essential for preventing kidney stones. Though more research is needed, parsley can be a healthy, nutrient-rich addition to meals.
- Raspberries: This fruit is higher in oxalates and is generally not recommended in large servings in a diet meant to reduce oxalate kidney stone risk.
