Read more about some of the honorees:
- Kristina Saffran, the 30-year-old founder of the startup Equip, is helping people get better eating-disorder treatments after recovering from anorexia herself. "As we were all getting better, our conversations really shifted from our own issues to the broader systemic issues, and we recognized how fortunate we were," Saffran said, when speaking about the nonprofit work she's done in bringing more resources to those seeking eating disorder treatment.
- Dr. Neil Wagle, a top exec at the $12.7 billion insurance startup Devoted Health, shares the key ingredients for transforming American healthcare and what's standing in the way of faster progress. "There is a generation of providers who have grown up in the hamster-wheel world, and turning that system is very, very difficult," Wagle said of why it can be hard to change the way healthcare works.
