An exclusive nightclub in Miami is offering free COVID-19 shots to encourage young people to get vaccinated.

LIV set up pop-up vaccine sites over the weekend in partnership with CDR Health, AP reported on Sunday. VIP tables start at $2,000 at the club and some tables start at $7,000 when famous artists are performing, according to booking site Club Bookers. High-rollers spend up to $20,000 on tables, AP reported.

The highly contagious Delta variant is rapidly spreading across Florida. The Sunshine State hit a record high of 23,903 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is up from 22,783 new cases the previous day.

David Grutman, who owns LIV, posted a photo on his Instagram profile on Sunday of himself in front of one of CDR Health's vaccination vans.

He told AP that LIV partnered with CDR Health to give out free vaccine doses outside the club on Saturday and Sunday night. The pop-up sites could be open on future weekends, he added.

"We are excited, we want to stay open, and we know the only way to make that happen is if people get vaccinated, so we want to make it as accessible as possible," Grutman told AP.

LIV opened its doors again in April after being closed for a year during the pandemic, he told AP.

CDR Health's pop-up vaccination sites outside LIV offer Pfizer's vaccine, and the company plans to contact people for their second dose three weeks later, local news outlet Local 10 reported on Friday.

Orange County, Florida, in July declared in July a state of emergency due to the surging Delta variant.

On Sunday, the Department of Health and Human Services reported that nearly 13,800 COVID-19 patients took up a quarter of Florida's inpatient hospital beds.
