​Prioritizing sleep

Having a good sleep schedule is vital for physical and mental well-being. According to Harvard health publishing, for most healthy adults the 7 hours of quality sleep is good. The human body needs sleep, not only to support growth but also to aid in cellular repair. A good sleep cycle is also beneficial for boosting the immune system and improving cognitive performance.

​Consuming more protein

Adequate protein intake is essential for muscle growth and repair. According to Harvard Health Publishing, the daily recommended quantity of protein for an adult is 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. However, most people don’t consume enough protein to meet the recommended amount. To boost your protein intake you can add a few protein-rich foods or snacks to your diet like protein shakes, eggs, or protein smoothies.

​Avoid processed sugar

Consumption of processed sugar is linked to various health issues, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Simply cutting sugar and minimizing its consumption can lower the risk of all these issues. Not consuming processed sugar also boosts your energy levels.

Stress is a major contributor to various health issues, including cardiovascular problems, weakened immune function, and digestive disturbances. By managing and reducing stress, you can significantly enhance your overall quality of life. Practicing meditation and deep breathing also help with stress management to a great extent.

Water is essential for health as it supports nutrient delivery to cells, getting rid of wastes, and maintaining body temperature. According to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, you should aim for at least 3 litres of water a day.
