Samsung's upcoming smartwatch could be the best we've seen yet

We weren't expecting the Gear S2's teaser at Samsung's event last month to introduce the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Note 5. We barely had time to take a good look.

But now that we've had some hands-on time with the Gear S2, we can confirm that it is, indeed, a beauty. It's easily the most beautiful smartwatch Samsung has ever made - it might even be nicer than the Apple Watch.

It doesn't run Google's smartwatch operating system, Android Wear, but it'll still be compatible with almost every Android device with at least 1.5 GB of RAM and running Android 4.4 and up, and it'll be released in early October. There's no detail on pricing, yet.
