The actor himself drove about an hour to court from Karjat Studio where he was filming his next movie Sultan. Salman's father Salim Khan was photographed leaving Galaxy Apartments earlier. Salman's sister Alvira and faithful bodyguard Shera were also in court. When the High Court pronounced its verdict at about 1.40pm, just his pregnant sister Arpita was present in the house.

By afternoon, a small crowd of fans (who converged here from far distant places) had joined the banks of media cameras and crews amid high police presence.

In May, when the Sessions Court convicted Salman, Galaxy Apartments was crowded with celebrities visiting the actor. The VIP visitors included Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Rosan, Preity Zinta and Sonakshi Sinha. On Thursday morning, Mumbai politician Baba Siddique was the sole arrival.
