Rights to the tell-all book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" have been sold in at least 35 countries. The book's publisher made that announcement during a gathering of journalists and media-industry luminaries on Wednesday night.

The news was first reported by CNN newsman Brian Stelter, who confirmed that the book written by Michael Wolff is about to get a much larger audience.

Wolff recounts a number of revealing confessions and anecdotes in the book, many of which are critical of Trump, his behavior, habits, and quirks. The book, at points, calls Trump mental stability and acuity into question. A handful of those claims have been disputed.

Though Wolff has publicly acknowledged that he cannot be sure if portions of it are true, the book has nonetheless dominated The New York Times best-seller list for two consecutive weeks, prompted a weeks-long waiting list at Amazon, and is reportedly being shopped as a TV series.

The book's publisher, Steve Rubin, suggested that the broad appeal of "Fire and Fury" is no accident, Stelter reported. Referring to Trump, Rubin thanked Wolff for "taking on the planet's biggest bully."

Rubin added: "In an era when television and social media dominates the national conversation, it is absolutely thrilling that a book had a profound effect on a presidency and on an entire nation."
