- The streetwear company is selling a $198 quilted jacket embroidered with the words "Quit your job."
The Great Resignation has seen millions of Americans quit their jobs in recent months.
Now, streetwear brand Supreme is piggybacking off the wide recognition of the phenomenon by selling quilted jackets embroidered with a blunt message: "Quit your job."
On the front, the jacket is plain enough. It has pockets and the Supreme logo. The back of the jacket has the "Quit your job" message, along with a graphic of a red Supreme semi-truck with flames coming off of it, as well as phone number "1-888 Supreme."
The jackets are available in either black or blue. They go for $198 each and were sold out as of this writing.
The Great Resignation has been driven by a number of factors. Burnout, exacerbated by the stressors of the pandemic, is a common culprit. The tight labor market has also given many people, particularly those in low-paying jobs, more leverage, freeing them to segue into better roles. Other workers quit because they didn't feel they had enough opportunities for growth in their jobs, and many are even willing to switch industries for the right job.
