Reliance Retail’s new lifestyle store AZORTE goes high-tech with smart trial rooms, self-checkout kiosks

Reliance Retail launched a premium fashion and lifestyle store named AZORTE, on Thursday. Apart from western and Indian wear, it will sell footwear, fashion accessories, home, beauty products and more.

Reliance opened its first store at 1 MG-Lido Mall in Bengaluru and is spread across 18,000 square feet. The company plans to open more stores across key markets in the coming months.

“The mid-premium fashion segment is one of fastest growing consumer segments as millennials and the Gen-Z are increasingly demanding the latest of international and contemporary Indian fashion. AZORTE offers wardrobe must-haves for the fashion forward customers of new India,” said Akhilesh Prasad, CEO fashion and lifestyle at Reliance Retail.

The store offers many tech-enabled experiences like smart trial rooms, fashion discovery stations, endless aisles and self-checkout kiosks.

“The store has best-in-class tech interventions that will enhance the customer journey leading to superior shopping experience,” said Prasad.

The fashion company says that the store caters to all consumer segments. They will offer both its own and co-created fashion lines.

“Shoppers will be delighted to discover the human touch with in-store fashion consultants to enhance product discovery and research,” the company said in a statement.
