McDonald's, Taco Bell, and other chains are growing their summer menus see the new items

McDonald's launched the new McFlurry flavor at the end of May. It comes with vanilla soft serve, chocolate-covered pretzel pieces, and caramel swirl.

Wendy's is temporarily replacing the vanilla Frosty with a strawberry version this summer. Strawberry is the most requested flavor from fans, Vice President of Culinary Innovation John Li said in a presentation.

Wendy's brought back this salad for the third time this summer. It comes with strawberries, bacon, and grilled chicken served on lettuce and spring mix with a Champagne vinaigrette.

Arby's introduced its first-ever burger this year, made from 52% American Wagyu beef. It's a massive 6.5 ounces, and prepared in a sous vide.

Taco Bell fans got their wish when the chain brought back the Mexican pizza in May. The dish was one of more than a dozen items cut from Taco Bell's menu in 2020, but customers rallied and campaigned to bring it back.

The return has been so successful that Taco Bell said it was running out of Mexican pizza ingredients, but it will return to menus as a permanent offering.

Chipotle introduced watermelon limeade, a seasonal drink for the summer from Tractor Beverage Co. Chipotle says 5% of proceeds from sales of the drinks will be donated to causes that benefit farmers.

Chick-fil-A is bringing back its beloved peach milkshake on Monday. It's been one of the chain's most popular seasonal items since it debuted in 2009, Chick-fil-A says.

Panera is bringing back both lobster items this summer after three years off menus. Both come with claw and knuckle meat and will be on menus across the Northeast.
