Athleisure clothing and yoga-wear brand Lululemon is the fastest-emerging clothing brand among wealthier female teens in the US, per Piper Sandler's semiannual Gen Z survey.

The investment bank's "Taking Stock with Teens" report tracks teens' brand preferences, behavior, and habits. In the latest study, 14,500 teens were surveyed. The study found that teen females with higher incomes are spending the most on clothing since 2012.

Seventeen percent of teens chose Lululemon as their favorite clothing brand during Piper Sandler's fall 2022 survey, as well as during its spring 2022 and fall 2021 surveys.

Below are the five "top brands starting to be worn" by wealthy female teens.

Of the top 10 brands, only Lululemon scored in double digits. The Vancouver-based, yoga-inspired brand, founded in 1998, has nearly 500 storefronts worldwide. It offers clothing for men and women, and is best known for its leggings.

More than a quarter of teen girls surveyed in 2014 named "Leggings/Lululemon" as the top fashion trend, Insider reported. This fall, more than a third of wealthier female teens ranked "Leggings/Lululemon" as their favorite fashion trend at the moment, followed by crop tops, jeans, baggy/saggy pants, and "Nike/Jordans."

Lululemon keeps its prices high and discounting to a minimum — which is why it's successful, analysts have said. The price of Lululemon leggings range from $98 to $168. Despite growing concerns of the current economy, Lululemon's fans have continued to spend on its luxury products. The brand recently reported an increase of sales and foot traffic last year, while other retailers like Target and Macy's reported a dip in sales.

The brand's first-ever shoe line was introduced this past spring for women, and was announced for men in 2023. The womens' shoes are priced $138 to $158. Lululemon's tech-savvy workout wall mirror, the Studio Mirror, now $795, aims to bring the benefits of an in-person fitness studio to the comfort of your home, Insider reported.
