If you want to know how to nail down the "mob wife" look that's going viral on social media, you'd be wise to take tips from Jeff Bezos' partner, Lauren Sánchez.

The couple were seen at men's Fashion Week in Milan this weekend, attending a Dolce & Gabbana show and afterparty.

Bezos, who donned a black leather jacket for the daytime event, then slipped into a velvet suit and black shirt for the evening. His mafioso look was completed by a pair of tinted shades that he kept on for both events.

His fiancée, meanwhile, was peak "mob wife" — wearing a sheer, floor-length black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress for the evening event.

The "mob wife" fashion trend, which is the antithesis of 2023's "quiet luxury" aesthetic is all about opulence. It takes inspiration from TV shows like "The Sopranos" and is all about wearing flashy gold jewelry, red lipstick, fur coats, and big hair. More is more.

It also fits neatly into the Bezos-Sánchez 2024 lookbook.

Bezos, who is currently the second richest person in the world and worth around $179 billion, has radically transformed his look since founding Amazon 30 years ago.

The formerly somewhat scrawny tech nerd is no more. He's since bulked up and overhauled his wardrobe. But in doing so, has been ridiculed by some.

"It is an uncontroversial, but nonetheless interesting, fact that the richest man in the world is a terrible dresser," FT journalist Robert Armstrong wrote in a column in 2022.

Armstrong pointed out that while most multibillionaires opt for low-key dressing so as not to draw attention to themselves — Warren Buffett and Elon Musk, for example — Bezos is well and truly bucking that trend.

But if "loud luxury" and opulence take off in 2024 this may well be his moment to shine.
