Don't miss Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine and the founders of Fall Risk and AYR talking about the future of retail at Business Insider's conference
Ignition: Redefining Retail, Business Insider's first retail-centric conference, will take place in New York City on January 14.
The conference will feature a host of executives, founders, and investors in conversation regarding the issues shaping the future of retail. Their discussions will cover everything from the rise of direct-to-consumer brands to sustainable fashion, addressing how retailers are working to connect with customers and evolving to grow their businesses.
One panel will feature John Targon, the founder and design director of Fall Risk, and Maggie Winter, CEO and cofounder of AYR, in a conversation entitled "Cool, Cult, and Connected" with Man Repeller founder Leandra Medine.
Targon has more than 15 years of fashion experience. His latest venture, Fall Risk, is targeted at Gen Z consumers, reaching them through social media, pop-ups, e-commerce, and a direct phone hotline.
Winter founded womenswear brand AYR in 2o12 and spun it out of Bonobos in 2016. AYR has retail stores on both coasts and a seasonal shop in the Hamptons.
Medine launched Man Repeller in 2010 and has grown it into a community-first platform focused on conversations around style. She is also an angel investor and the author of the book "Man Repeller: Seeking Love, Finding Overalls."
Also included in the lineup are executives from Rent the Runway, Shopify, Estée Lauder, Lively, Visa, and Instagram Shopping.
