This former Kmart store in Elyria, Ohio, has been closed for a decade, according to Eckhart. "This store closed in the 2003 wave of Kmart closures, but oddly left all store fixtures besides shopping carts and signs that said 'Kmart' behind," he notes. This was formerly the pharmacy.

This former Kmart Auto Center in Toledo, Ohio, is boarded up and empty. The Toledo area once had six operating Kmarts. "Now just two remain open as Kmart, one operates as a Sears Outlet, another is now re-used as another store, yet another lies abandoned, while the last has been demolished leaving behind an empty lot," Eckhart writes on his blog, DeadAndDyingRetail.com.
