Reliance Gains 2% After Q2 Results

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) was trading higher by about 2% at Rs 973 on BSE in early morning trade today. It had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 5,972 crore for July-September quarter.

RIL had reported a profit of Rs 5,873 crore during the same quarter in the last financial year. But the consolidated net sales declined by 4.3% to Rs 113,396 crore from Rs 118,439 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Analyst had estimated a net profit of Rs 5,593 crore and net sale of Rs 98,246 crore.
