As per brokerage CLSA, Reliance Jio will acquire 80 million 4G users in next two years.

CLSA said that more than half of Bharti Airtel, Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, users will switch to Reliance Jio.

The brokerage cited its analysis of 17 service launches and said new entrants typically gain a 2 to 5% market share within eight quarters of entering a market with six to seven operators.

CLSA said Reliance Jio gain a higher 7% market share by March 2018, hinting it will do way better than other operators.

“We expect over 55% of its subscribers to come from Bharti Airtel (15 million), Idea Cellular (10 million) and Vodafone India (20 million)," said CLSA.

In December 2015, Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio launched its 4G service for group employees with much fanfare.
