Reliance Jio Infocomm Signs Telecom Tower Sharing Deal With Videocon

Indian operator Reliance Jio Infocomm has inked an agreement to share 500 towers of Videocon Telecom in Uttar Pradesh(west), Uttar Pradesh(east), Bihar and Jharkhand. Reliance Jio is planning to launch its high speed data and voice services across the Indian subcontinent.
It is important to note that Videocon, a consumer electronics and home appliances company, plans to deploy 6,000 additional towers within a year for rolling out its 4G services, which may also be shared with Reliance Jio in the future, Videocon managing director Arvind Bali was quoted as saying.
Bali also added that Videocon will look into the possibilities of other deals with Reliance Jio for 4G network sharing, optical fibre network sharing, Internet broadband services, etc.
