With heartthrob of the nation Ranbir Kapoor moving out of his family home, followed by the peppy starlet Alia Bhatt, it looks like deciding to stay on your own is an ongoing trend in the film industry.

The latest actor to have joined the club is the chic and suave actor Ranveer Singh; however, unlike Ranbir and Alia who moved out of their homes for the sake of their personal lives and individual freedom, the reason behind Ranveer’s shift is utterly professional.

The Ram Leela actor has moved to a new place closer to the sets of his upcoming movie Bajirao Mastani, so that he can save the commuting time and focus more on shooting for his part.

Ever since Bajirao Mastani has gone on floors, Ranveer has given this movie everything that he could. First, he encountered a serious shoulder injury while shooting for the movie and underwent a surgery; and now he has moved away from the comforts of his home and loved ones to become ‘Bajirao’.

Ranveer, who was last seen as the urbane, gentle Kabeer in ‘Dil Dhadhakne Do’, shoots for 12 hours every day & spends another 4 in physiotherapy to strengthen his shoulder as the film requires him to perform heavy-duty action in elaborate costumes. Intense in every sense, Ranveer also needs to remain in character as ‘Bajirao’ to play this historical figure.

As Mumbai’s unprecedented heavy rainfall impacts traffic, the actor felt that he was losing too much time in commuting from the film’s sets to his home in Bandra. Therefore, he decided to move into a new apartment in Goregaon to be closer to the film’s set.

Way to go Baba! Now that’s what we call being dedicated.
