Blast in Quetta hospital kills 55, injures over 100

A bomb explosion in a government-run hospital in Quetta (Pakistan) killed at least 55 people, most of whom were lawyers. The explosion also injured 100 others, and 20 of them are said to be critical. The explosion is suspected to be the result of a suicide attack, followed by gunfire.The blast was targeted at the mourners of the slain president of Balochistan Bar Association (BA) Advocate Bilal Anwar Kasi. Kasi’s body was brought to the hospital for autopsy after which the blast took place.
Most of the dead and injured are lawyers, police officials and journalists, who were there for the autopsy results.
Kasi was killed after two unidentified men opened fire at his car near Quetta's Mengal Chowk on Manno Jan road as he left for work.
