Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Trailer Out, Promises Rajshri Level Of Family Drama

Salman Khan has had a special relationship with Rajshri Films ever since he first tasted success with Maine Pyar Kiya, their first collaboration together, and became a star overnight. Since then, he has appeared in a number of Rajshri films, and his upcoming movie Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is his fourth film with the production house. The previous ones were: Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, and Hum Saath Saath Hain.

In all these movies, like every other movie directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the name of the male lead was Prem, and this time, the name has also found its way into the movie title itself.

The trailer of the movie was launched today, and it looks like this is the most expensive film Barjatya’s have made till date.

Talking of the trailer, it takes us to what looks like a rajwara, where the royal family still lives in a haveli and wears traditional clothes with embellishments and headgears. Prem is probably the eldest of the family, Neil Nitin Mukesh plays his younger brother and a debutant girl plays their sister. Sonam Kapoor, who plays Salman’s love interest, can be seen dancing to the title track, and we also catch glimpses of Swara Bhaskar, Anupam Kher, Deepak Dobriyal and Armaan Kohli.

The cinematography of the movie definitely makes it look grand and the music reminds you of the 90’s, but we can’t guess anything about the plot of the story with the first trailer. Neil’s character looks like it would turn negative, and it’s a safe bet to say that there would be a lot of tears and melodrama in the second half of the movie, as has been the case with almost all the Rajshri movies till date.
