Who's turned against Trump? A list of current and ex-aides, lawyers, and confidants who have willingly (and unwillingly) cooperated with DOJ and congressional investigators.

  • Former President Donald Trump is being investigated by the DOJ, state officials, and the US House.
  • The two primary probes concern the Capitol attack and the mishandling of White House documents.

One of the most litigious former US presidents is up against a whirlwind of legal cases and probes — and a growing number of his ex- and current associates are being drawn out to cooperate with investigators.

Donald Trump now faces at least 22 civil and criminal lawsuits, defamation cases, and federal investigations, according to Just Security's litigation tracker. But chief among them are related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack and the mishandling of official government documents.

This includes the Justice Department's probe of the insurrection, which in itself has several prongs: the events that led up to the Capitol breach, along with attempts to obstruct that inquiry, and the plot to overturn the 2020 election results using slate of fake electors.

A House select committee also has a parallel but separate investigation into the events of the Capitol riot and has hosted several public hearings this year. The panel's work is not over, and it expects to reconvene in September.

In addition, Georgia is leading a grand jury inquiry into attempts by Trump and his associates to overturn the state's election results.

These are coupled with yet another DOJ probe that has ramped up in August: The mishandling of official White House documents.

On August 8, the FBI seized a trove of files, some of which were considered classified and top secret, from Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida. The DOJ is investigating if Trump broke three federal laws regarding the handling of national security information.

As a cluster of federal and state probes circle Trump, about 40 of the former president's current and ex-aides, lawyers, and confidants have spoken with investigators — and the number continues to grow.

Here's a working list of every Trump official who has cooperated — willingly and unwillingly — with those investigations. Insider has reached out to each individual for comment. Any responses received are included.

The list excludes associates who have not fully complied with investigators (former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows), those who pled the fifth during their interviews (lawyer John Eastman, assistant attorney general Jeffrey Clark, and national security advisor Micheal Flynn, among others), and those who were subpoenaed but are not yet publicly known to have spoken with investigators.
