Video shows AOC breaking up a shouting match between a Squad member and Marjorie Taylor Greene outside the Capitol: 'She ain't worth it, bro'
- Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a shouting match outside the Capitol.
- The disagreement was initially about expelling Rep. George Santos, but it descended into chaos.
Reps. Jamaal Bowman and Marjorie Taylor Greene got into a shouting match outside the Capitol on Wednesday, which only ended after Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stepped in to try to diffuse the situation.
Bowman, a Democratic member of the left-wing group The Squad, and Greene, a far-right Republican, got into the argument shortly after House Republicans voted to stall efforts to expel Rep. George Santos from Congress.
The argument, which apparently started with the pair disagreeing on whether Santos should be expelled, soon descended into both members of Congress shouting at each other about largely unrelated topics, a video shared on Twitter by The Daily Beast reporter Ursula Perano shows.
"Expel him, save the party, the party is hanging by a thread," Bowman said at the start of the video, referring to Santos.
Greene responded that Biden should be the one to leave office, launching into an "impeach Biden" chant while pounding her first in the air.
The pair then exchanged the first of several jibes at each other, with Bowman saying: "No more QAnon."
Greene, who was stripped of her committee assignment in 2021 after embracing QAnon-inspired conspiracy theories, replied: "No more CNN."
The argument then bounced between the debt ceiling, and guns, before things became especially heated when Bowman and Greene began to spar about the situation at the US-Mexico border.
The video shows Bowman blaming the current situation on the legacy of former President Donald Trump, with Greene's responses repeatedly mentioning "missing" migrant children.
Before turning away from Bowman, the video shows Greene saying: "Let me tell you something Jamaal, you're not very smart, you should pay attention."
At this point, Bowman, who was still shouting, was tapped on the shoulder by Ocasio-Cortez, the video shows.
Ocasio-Cortez, who is also in The Squad, said: "She ain't worth it, bro."
It appears from the video that the clash ended shortly after.
Insider contacted Bowman, Greene, and Ocasio-Cortez for comments but did not immediately receive responses.
