Former President Donald Trump wants to give Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene a job in his administration if he wins back the presidency in 2024, Rolling Stone reported.
Two sources close to Trump told the publication that the former president is planning a team if he managed to win another election, and that Greene's name came up.
"Wouldn't she be great?" Trump said earlier this year to a confidant, one of the two sources told the publication.
The other source reportedly said that Trump had discussed putting Greene into a role at the Department of Justice if he wins office again.
Greene, a Georgia representative, is among the most controversial members of Congress, and has promoted far-right conspiracy theories about mass shootings, the COVID pandemic, the 2020 elections, and alleged that Jewish space lasers were behind wildfires in California in 2018.
Before her election to office, she expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory movement and attended a white nationalist conference in February, later defending her decision to do so.
Her promotion of conspiracy theories has seen her banned from social-media platforms and removed from congressional committee assignments. However she has remained close to Trump, and is one of his most ardent congressional champions.
Trump discussing her in relation to the DOJ is notable as she has pushed for the FBI to be abolished after the agency's raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in relation to his handling of government records after leaving office.
It's one of a number of legal scandals that have embroiled Trump as he mulls another bid for office.
