Trump is 'cranky' about the midterm election results ahead of his daughter's wedding day, a new report says
- The direction of the midterm results has been a sore point for Donald Trump.
- A source told CNN that the election has made him "cranky" ahead of his daughter's wedding day.
Former President Donald Trump was reportedly livid by the midterm results on Wednesday, but the results (and subsequent blame) may have also spoiled any celebratory mood for his youngest daughter's upcoming wedding weekend.
A source familiar with Trump's activities told CNN that the former president was "cranky" leading up to Tiffany Trump's Saturday nuptials due to the election.
The midterms were highly anticipated to be the GOP's moment of triumphant return, but instead, Democrats retained more House seats than expected, casting uncertainty over when Trump would announce his 2024 campaign after the "red wave" never came.
Trump's advisor Jason Miller said on Wednesday that he advised the former president to delay the announcement until after the Georgia Senate runoff race in December. But two days later, Miller said on Steve Bannon's radio show that Trump will move forward with his campaign launch on November 15.
"It's going to be a very professional, very buttoned-up announcement," Miller said.
Days ahead of the announcement, Trump was spotted at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for Tiffany Trump's wedding rehearsals. The New York Post photographed Tiffany and her father who appeared to be scowling and in a sour mood.
Tiffany Trump, who is the only child from Trump's marriage with Marla Maples, is marrying her fiancé Michael Boulos.
About 500 guests are expected to attend the wedding, according to Page Six.
Trump's spokesperson did not immediately return a request for comment.
