Trump continued to fuel the pipe dream that he could be reinstated as president, telling supporters to look forward to '2024 or before!'

Former President Donald Trump fanned outlandish speculation that he could be reinstated in the White House on Tuesday.

In a statement shared by conservative outlet RSB News, Trump repeated the falsehood that the vote of November 2020 was a "very Fraudulent Election" and concluded with: "2024 or before!"

The suggestion that Trump could be reinstated before the next presidential election has been floated by his most ardent supporters for months, and the former president is said to have embraced the idea.

None of this is legally possible, as Insider's Grace Panetta and Jake Lahut reported. The claims of election fraud have been publicly and repeatedly found meritless in dozens of lawsuits.

But while Trump continues to deny the validity of the election result, the idea of reinstatement continues to hold sway with his supporters.

In a recent poll, almost a third of Republican voters said it was "likely" Trump would return to office this year.

Conspiracy theorist lawyer Sidney Powell claimed without evidence during a May conference that he could "simply be reinstated," while MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has pinned August as the time when legal efforts to overturn President Joe Biden's 2020 election victory would purportedly bear fruit.

Not all of Trumpworld is convinced, however. Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski told Fox News earlier in June he had not heard discussions of an August 2021 return, while Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump also said there are "no plans" for him to be reinstated.

Trump's most recent hint came at the end of a muddled statement about a completely different matter - his treatment at the hands of SNL's writers.

Trump denied a recent report from The Daily Beast that he had asked the Department of Justice to investigate the show.

The Trump organization did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.
