  • Tiffany Trump is set to get married at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday, soon after a tropical storm hit the state.
  • The private, Palm Beach club is currently closed because of the storm, Page Six reported.

Mar-a-Lago staff were sent home Wednesday as Tropical Storm Nicole prepared to make landfall on Florida's east coast, just days before the wedding of former President Donald Trump's daughter Tiffany Trump.

Tiffany Trump will marry fiancé Michael Boulos on Saturday at her father's Mar-a-Lago oceanfront estate in Palm Beach. Roughly 500 guests are expected to attend, according to Page Six, which was also first to report the club's temporary closure.

Donald Trump's fundraising emails have been teasing a 2024 presidential campaign announcement at Mar-a-Lago for a few days after the wedding, on November 15.

On Thursday morning, Donald Trump went on a tear on Truth Social about critical reporting about his response to the 2022 midterm election.

The former president held an Election Night watch party at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday evening. Twenty-four hours later, Mar-a-Lago and its surrounding coastal residential areas were under mandatory evacuation orders because of the storm, but the Washington Post reported Donald Trump didn't want to leave.

Tropical Storm Nicole made landfall near Vero Beach on Wednesday morning, putting it north of Palm Beach. The Palm Beach Post reported high winds overnight.

As of 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, the storm's center was about 60 miles southwest of Orlando and 30 miles east of Tampa, Florida, moving west-northwest at 16 mph. Maximum sustained winds at 10 a.m. were 50 mph, per the NHC, and roughly 150,000 Floridians are without power as of noon Thursday, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Insider called Mar-a-Lago to check on the club's status, but no one picked up. Donald Trump's post-presidential office did not immediately reply to an inquiry, and the couple has not announced a change in plans for the wedding. The Weather Channel forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms in Palm Beach on Saturday afternoon.

Mar-a-Lago is expected to reopen on Friday, just in time for the welcome dinner, Page Six reported, saying Tiffany Trump was "flipping out." The club reopened for the season just 10 days ago with a Halloween party. Every year the club closes during the summer's muggy months, and Donald Trump heads north to live at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Tiffany Trump, 29, is the fourth child to former President Donald Trump and daughter to his ex-wife Marla Maples. Boulos, 25, grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, and his family owns Boulos Enterprises and SCOA Nigeria.

Official records reviewed by Insider show that Boulos and Tiffany Trump applied for their marriage license in Palm Beach County on Tuesday, which was Election Day.

The couple submitted their application just in time. The Palm Beach County's office was closed for the storm on Wednesday and Thursday, and will be closed Friday in observance of Veteran's Day, the office confirmed to Insider. Under Florida law, couples have to file for a marriage licence application at least three days before getting married, and the application is good for 60 days.

Donald Trump also received his license from Palm Beach County when he married Melania in 2005, with the wedding reception at Mar-a-Lago. Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, all previously filed for their marriage licenses in Palm Beach County as well, according to an Insider review of official records.

Tiffany Trump recently celebrated her bridal shower in Florida with her family. "It was an absolutely magical day and I'm so happy we could all be together and celebrate Tiffany," Maples posted on Instagram in a photo that featured Tiffany Trump's sister-in-law Lara Trump and her stepsister, Ivanka Trump.

The couple has been dating since 2018 after meeting in Greece, while Tiffany Trump was vacationing there with Lindsay Lohan.

Boulos proposed to her in the White House Rose Garden and the couple lives in Miami, roughly a 90-minute drive south from Palm Beach. Tiffany Trump works as a legal research assistant at Georgetown University Law Center.
