The director of the FBI told lawmakers on Tuesday that the bureau is still investigating hundreds of Capitol riot suspects in addition to those already arrested and charged so far.
Christopher Wray told the House Oversight Committee, according to The New York Times: "We've already arrested close to 500, and we have hundreds of investigations that are still ongoing beyond those 500."
He called the efforts to find rioters "one of the most far-reaching and extensive" investigations in the history of the FBI.
They have been accused of offenses including assaulting police officers and unlawful entry to the Capitol. Four have pleaded guilty so far.
