The Capitol police officer who testified he was called a 'n-----' during the Jan. 6 riot says he's since been targeted with racist abuse online

US Capitol Police Officer Harry A. Dunn says he has faced racist abuse online after testifying before the House Select Committee amid its January 6 Capitol riot investigation.

Dunn, who during his testimony said he had been called the n-word by rioters during the insurrection, told FOX 5 DC that he's faced a slew of racism on Facebook, Twitter, and email over the last week.

"People want to talk about you, but nobody wants to talk to you," Dunn said, adding that he's received a bunch of "hate mail."

During his testimony last week, Dunn said it was the first time he was called the n-word while in uniform, and that it came after he told rioters that he voted for President Joe Biden.

"You hear that, guys, this n----- voted for Joe Biden!" he said a woman in a pink "MAGA" shirt told the crowd. "Boo! Fucking n-----!" he recalled the crowd chanting.

Dunn was one of four officers who testified in an opening session of the House Select Committee to investigate the insurrection at the Capitol.
