  • New Yorkers have been greeting Sen. Ted Cruz with a firehose of expletives.
  • Fans at Yankee Stadium delivered insults and middle fingers Sunday as Cruz cheered on the Houston Astros.

New Yorkers have been sharing their thoughts with Sen. Ted Cruz via hand gestures and four-letter words.

The Texas Republican was on the receiving end of insults and middle fingers Sunday from fans at Yankee Stadium as he cheered on the Houston Astros during Game 4 of the American League Championship Series. More heckling followed Monday on "The View," with censors cutting the audio on an audience member who was cheered for yelling "F--- you."

The shouting continued, this time directed at the talk show hosts, as Cruz talked about inflation and blamed President Joe Biden and Democrats. Host Whoopi Goldberg chimed in, "Excuse us, let us do our job."

The crowd was just as unruly at Yankee Stadium.

"Remember when Trump called your wife ugly and then you nominated him?" someone shouted — along with a cascade of expletives — as a reminder of Donald Trump's words for Cruz's wife during their 2016 Republican presidential primary battle.

Cruz is seen in a photo waving as one fan gives him a thumbs down and others give him the middle finger.

Cruz is firing back on his Twitter account. He retweeted the photo of the Yankee fans with #GoStros, his hometown baseball team that advanced to the 2022 World Series with a 6-5 win on Sunday night that culminated in a four-game sweep of New York.

"It was an awesome game — it was spectacular," he told TMZ. "And I appreciated the great New York hospitality."

The senator also retweeted clips of his interview on "The View."

"#TheView couldn't handle learning about the hypocrisy from Democrats: Hillary said Trump was an "illegitimate president" & said George W. Bush was "selected not elected." Joe Biden said "Al Gore was was elected president," he tweeted.
