Robert F. Kennedy Jr. explains why his official campaign TikTok left a heart eyes emoji comment on an OnlyFans model's video in 2022
- An X user posted a video showing RFK Jr.'s TikTok had commented on OnlyFans model's TikTok account.
- RFK Jr. acknowledged the comment Thursday, and said it was from a staffer's old account.
On Wednesday, an X user by the name of Johnny Maga shared a video showing that the official TikTok account of presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. had posted a comment of "Wow [heart eyes emoji] [heart eyes emoji]" on a TikTok video of an OnlyFans model in 2022.
"Since @RobertKennedyJr wants to run his mouth, perhaps he can explain why he was on TikTok liking thirst traps while married," the user wrote before posting a video showing the comment with more context.
On Thursday, Kennedy did just that.
"Do people really think I was TikToking in 2022?" the vaccine skeptic wrote in the first of a series of posts on X. "The TikTok comment in question was made in 2022 long before I ever had a TikTok account. This comment now appears on my account because the account was previously owned by one of the campaign's young social media managers."
He then explained why his young staffer's thirsty comment looked like it was coming from his campaign.
"When I announced my run for the presidency in April of 2023 the team wanted it broadcasted on every social media platform, including TikTok," Kennedy wrote. "However, TikTok does not allow live streaming for accounts that have less than 1,000 followers. The social media manager decided to transfer his account, which had around 1,500 followers, to me in order to stream my announcement on TikTok."
So there you have it: RFK Jr. did not leave the comment — it was his young campaign staffer. Congrats to all, but especially to Kennedy's wife, the actress Cheryl Hines.
