Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton won his first bid for reelection in the US Senate with no major party challenger, according to Decision Desk HQ projections.

Cotton was elected in 2014 and is in his sixth year in the Senate. He won his first Senate election by defeating his Democratic opponent by 17.1 percentage points.

In the 2016 presidential election, Arkansas overwhelmingly voted for President Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in a 26.9 percentage point margin.
