Philadelphia residents took to the streets to celebrate Joe Biden's lead in Pennsylvania on Friday.

People were filmed across the state's largest city dancing along to popular tracks by Beyoncé, Diana Ross and Village People's "YMCA" — a tune frequently played at President Donald Trump's rallies and used in his campaign videos.

The wave of excitement comes after Philadelphia County became increasingly critical to delivering Biden an election victory. The onslaught of mail-in ballots from the area helped Biden overtake Trump's initial advantage in the state.

Election officials are still counting votes, though Biden's edge has made Pennsylvania no longer winnable for Trump, according to projections by Insider and Decision Desk HQ. Biden successfully secured 273 electoral votes on Friday.

Crowds gathered outside of Pennsylvania's Convention Center where votes continue to be tallied, carrying anti-Trump signs and pictured in a sea of pride colors, Black Lives Matter t-shirts, and masks.

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Ellie Rushing and Buzzfeed News' Amber Jamieson captured some of the moments on Friday.

At the same time, Trump supporters arrived at the scene waving "TRUMP 2020" flags and chanting "show us the vote," according to Guardian reporter Sam Levine. Since election night, the Trump campaign has waged multiple legal battles against city and state officials in an attempt to halt vote tallies, based on unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud and voting irregularities. The moves have stirred up protests across the country.

Philadelphia's mayor Jim Kennedy sought to put the accusations to rest on Friday, declaring that Trump should "frankly put his big boy pants on."

"He needs to acknowledge the fact that he lost and he needs to congratulate the winner," Kennedy said during a press conference. "Stop this and let us move forward as a country."
