  • "I am inspired by all the brave women who came forward, but more importantly I believe them," James said.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James says she believes women who came forward with allegations against Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

"I am inspired by all the brave women who came forward, but more importantly I believe them," James said during the press conference.

The investigation into the sexual harassment allegations, led by James' office, found that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women and cultivated a "hostile and toxic workplace." The investigation's findings were released Tuesday.

The harassment included unwanted groping, hugging, kissing, and inappropriate comments, James said.

James said that there had been "attempts to undermine and politicize" her office's investigation into the sexual harassment allegations, but added that she wants the focus of the report to be on the women who came forward.

"I believe these women," she said.
