Newsmax's Greg Kelly brags about wearing expensive 'BUGLE BOY jeans' - that are actually $1,200 Balmain cargo pants - in a photo with Trump
- It has been a week of baffling photos of political figures.
- On Thursday, Newsmax's Greg Kelly shared a photo of himself - in "BUGLE BOY jeans" - standing next to Trump.
- After being roundly mocked on the internet, he followed up by explaining that his trousers are actually from French designer Balmain, "the most prestigious brand in PANTS."
It has been a week of baffling photos of political figures.
President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden appeared to dwarf former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn Carter; Sen. Ted Cruz shared a candlelit photo of himself dining with former President Donald Trump; and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell posed between two beefy professional wrestlers.
Then, on Thursday, Newsmax's Greg Kelly shared another one.
It is largely innocuous: Trump and Kelly are standing, each giving a thumbs up. It's one of a string of photos that have trickled out of, mainly, Mar-a-Lago since the former president has been barred from social media.
Except, Kelly's caption called attention to his "BUGLE BOY jeans," an extremely '80s reference to the brand of choice for attractive, polite men who are stranded in the desert.
He was immediately ridiculed on Twitter, and then followed up by bragging that the moto-inspired khaki cargo pants he was wearing are actually Balmain, "the most prestigious brand in PANTS." (Oh, and his shoes are Ferragamo.)
The pants retail somewhere between $500 and $1,200. We'll let the reader judge if he is, indeed, as he claims, "a Sharp Dressed Man."
