Video of the altercation on Twitter showed Macron's security team then tackling the man to the ground and pulling the president away from the crowd.
The BBC reported on Wednesday that investigators found a copy of Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf" in the man's home, along with weapons, including a sword, a dagger, and a "collector's rifle."
