Illinois' 17 congressional seats are up for election, and five of them — races in the 6th District, 11th District, 13 District, 14th Districtand 17th District— are seen as particularly competitive and could swing control of the House of Representatives.
Sen. Tammy Duckworth andGov. JB Pritzker — the top self-funded candidate in the nation — are also each up for election. Lastly, the state will vote on Amendment 1, which would establish a right to form a union.
Polls closed in the state at 7 p.m. local time, or 8 p.m. EST.
