Alaska is host to a number of compelling races this election cycle, including a competitive race to determine control of the state legislature.
Alaska's sole US House seat is up for election following the death earlier this of long-serving Rep. Don Young — now-Rep. Mary Peltola, a Democrat who won a special election to serve out the remainder of Young's term, is seeking a full term against three other candidates, including former Gov. Sarah Palin.
There's also a gubernatorial race to watch, as well as Sen. Lisa Murkowski's re-election bid. Alaskans will also be voting on a constitutional convention question.
Polls closed in the state at 8 p.m. local time. Given the state has multiple timezones, the first polls closed at 12 a.m. EST and the last polls close at 1 a.m. EST.
