Ivanka Trump posts vacation photos from Egypt after skipping Trump's 2024 launch and saying she's done with politics
  • Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and their three children went on vacation in Egypt, photos show.
  • Trump's eldest daughter posted Instagram photos of the family riding camels and touring pyramids.

Ivanka Trump posted family vacation photos from Cairo, Egypt, on Monday after publicly distancing herself from her father's 2024 presidential campaign.

The eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump posted a series of Instagram pictures showing her touring pyramids and riding camels with her husband, Jared Kushner, and their three children — Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore — in the desert.

"A day at the Pyramids!" she captioned the post. "So special to explore the beauty of Egypt for the first time with my family!"

The trip underscored the divide within the Trump family prompted by the new campaign.

Ivanka was part of Trump's 2016 and 2020 campaigns, and served in his White House, as did Kushner.

But she drew a line under her political career after Trump began his 2024 campaign, and was also notably absent from Trump's presidential campaign launch in at Mar-a-Lago. Kushner did attend.

In a statement posted last week, Ivanka said that she loves her father "very much," but was done with politics.

"This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics," the statement said.

It is a contrast with her brothers, Eric and Don Jr., who have remained aggressive champions of their father's cause. Don Jr. also missed the launch event, but the absence was said to be an accident caused by a missed flight.

Ivanka and her husband have steadily distanced themselves from Trump's administration since he left office.

The couple moved their family to Florida after they left their posts at the White House and has since been trying to live a normal life, an unnamed source told the New York Post last week.

"Ivanka hated all the criticism and the threats and was unhappy about how a lot of their friends turned their back on them," the source told the Post. "She wants as normal a life as she can arrange for her and her family."
