Fox Business host Lou Dobbs on Friday slammed GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, saying that voters of the Palmetto State should reject the three-term senator at the ballot box this year.
Dobbs expressed exasperation on his show "Lou Dobbs Tonight," at what he deemed as Graham's insufficient stewardship of oversight duties as chairman of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee. On Friday, Graham announced that the heads of Twitter and Facebook would not testify regarding allegations of anti-conservative bias until after the November election, prompting the criticism from Dobbs.
"I don't know why anyone in the great state of South Carolina would ever vote for Lindsey Graham," he said. "It's just outrageous. This is the guy who keeps saying, 'Stay tuned.' He said he would get to the bottom of Obamagate with the Judiciary Committee, which has been a year and a half, actually longer, of absolute inert response to these pressing issues of our day."

Obamagate is President Donald Trump's longstanding accusation, centered around former national security advisor Michael Flynn, that the administration of former President Barack Obama improperly "unmasked" Flynn's name in Russia intelligence reports. The unmasking of names is a common practice in government to help understand classified documents. The conspiracy theory also accuses Obama and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden of knowing about the FBI's intentions to interview Flynn in advance.
Dobbs also played footage from 2016 when Trump was in heated race for the Republican presidential nomination with Graham, among many other candidates.
At the time, Trump called Graham "one of the dumbest human beings" and "a nut job."
"I believe that the president's words about the senator then apply today," Dobbs added. "Graham has betrayed President Trump at almost every turn. He has betrayed the American people and his oath of office. He has done absolutely nothing to investigate Obamagate except to tell everyone, 'Stay tuned,' time and time again. Stay tuned. Senator Graham needs to be tuned out in South Carolina."
On October 22, the Judiciary Committee voted 12-0 to subpoena Twitter and Facebook chief executives Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerburg, respectively, a week after the social media behemoths restricted the sharing of a wildly controversial New York Post article on Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Democrats on the committee, who boycotted Thursday's session due a vote that advanced the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, were not reflected in the vote.
Conservatives have long contended that Facebook and Twitter are biased against conservatives and right-leaning causes.
The Lincoln Project, the prominent anti-Trump group, endorsed Dobbs's message on Twitter.

"The Lincoln Project rarely agrees with Lou Dobbs, but today we join in his sentiments that South Carolinians should not re-elect the spineless, do-nothing dead weight Senator Lindsey Graham," the group expressed in a statement. "Lindsey Graham is a weak man with a weak character. While we hate to give Lou Dobbs any credibility, when he's right, he's right and should be commended for calling out Graham for being the pathetic swamp rat he is."
Graham is currently in a highly competitive race with former South Carolina Democratic party chairman Jaime Harrison, who has raised over $100 million in his bid to take down the longtime Republican.
