Former White House spokesman Hogan Gidley claimed during a Monday interview on Fox News that President Donald Trump is "the most masculine person to ever hold the White House."

This came after Fox News host Bill Hemmer asked Gidley if Trump felt "emasculated" by the recent "social media crackdown."

"I wouldn't say emasculated," said Gidley, who said he spoke with the president over the weekend. "The most masculine person, I think, to ever hold the White House is the president of the United States."

The Fox host was referring to Twitter's decision to permanently ban Trump from its platform and Facebook's decision to indefinitely suspend his account, among other new limits set by various platforms. Hemmer didn't explain how Trump's masculinity had anything to do with his newly restricted presence online.

As president, Trump repeatedly called suburban women voters "housewives" and told his female supporters that he's "getting your husbands back to work" amid the pandemic.
