Former Vice President Mike Pence says overturning Roe v. Wade has 'righted a historic wrong' and calls for every state to ban abortion

Former Vice President Mike Pence said the Supreme Court "righted a historic wrong" when it undid nearly 50 years of abortion rights nationwide Friday in the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Pence, widely known for his staunch anti-abortion stance, was among the first politicians to put out a statement in regards to the historic decision.
"Now that Roe v. Wade has been consigned to the ash heap of history, a new arena in the cause of life has emerged and it is incumbent on all who cherish the sanctity of life to resolve that we will take the defense of the unborn and support for women in crisis pregnancies to every state Capitol in America," Pence said in the statement.The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in a 6-3 decision Friday, giving states the authority to decide their own abortion laws.
