Donald Trump Jr. told supporters in Texas to give Sen. Kamala Harris a "Trump Train welcome" two days before cars with MAGA signs swarmed a Biden campaign bus on a highway near Austin and led to a crash.

"It'd be great if you guys would all get together, head down to McAllen, and give Kamala Harris a nice Trump Train welcome," Trump said in a video on Wednesday.

"Get out there. Have some fun. Enjoy it," he added. "Don't forget to vote and to bring all of your friends. Let's show them how strong Texas still is as Trump country. Get out there, guys."

Harris' campaign event continued as planned on Friday, but the Biden campaign canceled some weekend events over safety concerns after the highway incident.

The caravan of Trump supporters surrounded the Biden campaign bus on Friday, and a truck with Trump flags was filmed hitting a car accompanying the bus. The police told The Guardian that it was unclear who caused the collision.

No one was injured, and neither Harris nor Joe Biden was on the bus.

The Biden campaign criticized the Trump supporters' actions.

"Rather than engage in productive conversation about the drastically different visions that Joe Biden and Donald Trump have for our country, Trump supporters in Texas instead decided to put our staff, surrogates, supporters and others in harm's way," Tariq Thowfeek, the Texas communications director for the Biden campaign, told HuffPost.

The FBI has said it's investigating the incident.

The president said his supporters "did nothing wrong."

"In my opinion, these patriots did nothing wrong," he tweeted. "Instead, the FBI & Justice should be investigating the terrorists, anarchists, and agitators of ANTIFA, who run around burning down our Democrat run cities and hurting our people!"
