Donald Trump is DJing weekly at Mar-a-Lago, plays Broadway songs and Celine Dion from his iPad, report says
- Donald Trump has a regular DJing slot every Thursday night at Mar-a-Lago, a report says.
- Trump has previously talked about his love of DJing and how the song "Y.M.C.A." is a crowd pleaser.
Former President Donald Trump has a regular DJ-ing slot every Thursday night at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Page Six reported.
"Members know this, and when they invite guests, they say, 'Let's have dinner on Thursday, because Trump DJs every Thursday,' as an event," a source told the outlet.
The former president DJs "on an iPad — usually from his table — so he eats and plays," the source said.
He particularly enjoys playing songs from the '80s, and Broadway songs such as Phantom of the Opera and Céline Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" from the movie "Titanic."
Trump has previously been advertised as DJ for special events at Mar-a-Lago.
Last year, the former president talked about his love of DJing and said that his top song for getting people on the dance floor is "Y.M.C.A." by the Village People.
"People love it when I do it," Trump told YouTubers the NELK Boys for their "Full Send Podcast."
"You know what gets 'em rocking? 'Y.M.C.A.,'" Trump said. "'Y.M.C.A.,'" the gay national anthem. Did you ever hear that? They call it the gay national anthem. But 'Y.M.C.A.' gets people up, and it gets 'em moving.'"
"I've always had a high aptitude for music," he said. "But I love great music."
Ever since Trump announced his plans to run for president again in November, reports have suggested he has rarely strayed from Mar-a-Lago.
