Arizona Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly has a narrow two-point lead over Republican challenger Blake Masters in state's hotly-contested Senate race, according to a new Emerson College poll.
The survey showed Kelly earning 47% of the vote, while Masters garnered 45% support; five percent of respondents were undecided.
Independents in the poll backed Kelly by a nine-point margin (46%-37%).
The Emerson College poll also showed Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs tied with Republican gubernatorial nominee and former television journalist Kari Lake, with each candidate receiving 46% support.
The top issue among Arizona voters is the economy, with 36% of respondents naming it as the biggest driver of their vote, followed by abortion rights and immigration tied at 16% each as the second-most important issue.
Emerson College polled 627 likely general election voters voters on September 6 and September 7; the survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.85 percentage points.
