Bill and Hillary Clinton endorse Kamala Harris for president and issue a dire warning about a potential 2nd Trump term

The Clintons have thrown their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris after President Joe Biden announced he would drop out of the presidential race on Sunday.
Biden's announcement was a stunning development that followed weeks of Democratic infighting over Biden's ability to defeat former President Donald Trump in November. Shortly after Biden shared his news, he endorsed Harris for the Democratic nomination.
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton quickly did the same.
"We are honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her," the Clintons wrote in a joint statement. "Now is the time to support Kamala Harris and fight with everything we've got to elect her. America's future depends on it."
The political power couple isn't alone in their endorsement. Other prominent Democrats, like Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, Rep. Jamaal Bowman of New York, Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington, and Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, also quickly endorsed Harris.
After thanking Biden for his years of commitment, the Clintons added a stark warning about the threat of another Trump presidency.
"We've lived through many ups and downs, but nothing has made us more worried for our country than the threat posed by a second Trump term. He has promised to be a dictator on day one, and the recent ruling by his servile Supreme Court will only embolden him to further shred the Constitution," the Clintons wrote.
