Amy Klobuchar and other powerful Minnesota politicians enjoy their photo ops with shirtless firefighters at State Fair
- There's nothing politicians love more than a good, old-fashioned state fair.
- Three Democratic congresswomen encountered a group of shirtless firefighters in Minnesota.
Legends say there are more than 10,000 muscles on a Minnesota firefighter, one for every lake, and three Democratic members of Minnesota's congressional delegation were determined to find each one recently at the state fair.
On Friday, Sen. Amy Klobuchar tweeted out her must-sees of the 2023 Minnesota State Fair.
It wasn't one of the many detailed butter sculptures, nor was it the llama costume contest. Instead, the senator on the ever-powerful Judiciary Committee directed her two million followers to marvel at the shirtless, muscular firemen working at the American Federation of Labor's booth.
"State Fair pro tip: You don't want to miss the Minnesota firefighters at the @MNAFLCIO," she tweeted.
Klobuchar wasn't the only Democratic congresswoman to gaze at these Samsons of St. Paul. Rep. Ilhan Omar, a founding member of the group of progressive representatives in Congress, "The Squad," noted that she had also stopped by the gaggle at the fair.
The Blue Ribbon award for member of Congress who took the best photo with these topless vikings of Minnesota, if such an award existed (and Gov. Tim Walz should make it real), goes to Minnesota's senior senator, Tina Smith.
Posted a day after Klobuchar and Omar's, the 65-year-old senator also interpreted AFL-CIO to mean "A Fulsome Lad -Check It Out," and duly inspected the biceps on those ladderman.
